About the Book

The poems are a showcase of diverse behavior observable in human beings, animals and the atmospheric conditions. A reader is afforded the opportunity of peeping through one's mind's window whereby man and animal behave in a way peculiar to their circumstances. Obviously, living beings have traits of character that transcend race, color and even gender. Besides, the poems depict duality in nature. There is absolutely no positive without negative corresponding negative situation. The poems have been written under the aegis of the Yoruba language and culture from South West, Nigeria, put together in an agreeable manner with the cultural norms and mores of the language of other nationals. From Google on language and culture, it has been stated that language and culture are intertwined. Therefore, a reader of these poems is expected to have the feeling of having been interacting with owners of Yoruba language and culture lucidly expressed in English language.

About the Author :
Emmanuel Osindele was born in Nigeria but now holds dual citizenship. He acquired American citizenship by naturalization. His educational career began with learning rudimentary concepts of life from his nucleus family that was basically polygamous. Farming and petty trading opened an avenue for meeting diverse people in the society outside home and elementary school. His education was modelled after the British educational system. Rather than through the High School system, he trained as a teacher for the elementary and up to Middle School grade with Associate Diploma in Education (Associate College of Preceptors, London). He later graduated Bachelor's degree in Sociology from the University of Lagos, Nigeria. His work life centered on teaching and Human Resources Development. This is the reason why he loved to observe situations across the spectrum of people, plants and animals. A cat that waits patiently until time is ripe to pounce on rodents or insects and reaction to situation of regret or joy peculiar to man or animals are noteworthy examples. He is also a Church Deacon. His poems focused on behavioral tendencies encapsulated in the language of poetry. His focus is not just only human beings but also plants and animals. These observations highlighted so many traits of characters such as love and hate, action of one provoking reaction of other, effect of climate on the changes that are observable among fauna and flora. The beauty of it all is that every society has possible reaction to demonstrate same emotion of joy, peace, love or hatred but may come in different cues.
