The author, David W Tubman, is the son of these two eyewitnesses, Kenneth and Frances Tubman. That puts him in the unique position as the only mouthpiece alive for the eyewitnesses that tell more than they were ever meant to see when Jimmy Hoffa was abducted on July 30, 1975.It remained a 'Family Secret' for decades, but for good reason. David convinced his mother to finally reveal what they saw to the FBI in 2006. But it didn't end there as hoped. The author discovered in 2009 that the FBI did not do as promised and pass along the information to the Hoffa family 'for closure'. When phone calls to the daughter revealed the news was kept from them it was time to record Frances telling her story first-hand. The video link is given inside the book. That turned out to be a wise decision as she passed 2 years later and without the video recording, it would have simply been another hearsay story to be discounted.This is a true crime, historical news story, which includes a memoir about the eyewitnesses and why they chose not to come forward back in 1975.
