About the Author :
Brian was born and raised in Erie Pennsylvania, and has been involved in some capacity of writing since a very young age. After graduating from Penn State University, he lived several years in North Carolina and then Florida, where he presently resides. His accomplishments cover a wide spectrum from writing Psychology Textbooks, several essays on Metaphysics, articles on health and fitness, songwriting, and screenplays. In 2017, he retired from FedEx after 21 years of service, and began a new career as a script doctor for the movie industry. I have been hearing rumors about this book and had to discover them for myself. Branchview 'The Unexpected Journey' kept me in my seat until the very end. But as I read the book, it reminded me of certain instances of forthcoming events in the world today. We all know the unbelievable situation America faced in 2020 and only seems to be escalating in 2021. Well, I must say Brian Jay Nelson captured those events perfectly in 'The Unexpected Journey' and somehow I do not see myself being disappointed in the sequel 'The Epic Showdown. Plus, a little birdy told me the author has more episodes of Branchview coming very soon, including the possibility of a big-screen movie. That will be a must-see.
This book dives into some very complicated events, in a light-hearted manner using comedy, sarcasm at its finest all while intertwining some romance. Oh my God. I got the chills so many times toward the end. It completely blew my mind and managed to surpass my high expectations. Nothing of what I expected to happen occurred. The plot twists are brilliantly laid out to keep the reader engaged from start to finish.
I loved the character paranormal novelist, Steven Spencer. In my mind, he took on a real life persona that I could fully relate to by the end of the story. But the one character that everyone should keep an eye on is the mysterious Charlotte Locke. The story line is so fully fleshed out, and spine tingling, that by the end, you feel like you're part of the drama unfolding on the pages. The only complaint that I had was that the book ended too quickly, and left me craving for more.

This is the first book in years I actually loved to read, could not put it down. It reminded me of "True Blood" and the 60's series "Dark Shadows" But much better! I can't wait for book two to be released. I would love to see HBO or STARZ pick this book up as a series.
