Review :
"In this second edition of his Corwin bestseller, Nash expands on the types of communication, collaboration, and critical thinking skills students will need to compete in the global economy. A renewed emphasis on writing, reading, and oral communication reflect the utility and promise of the Common Core Standards, and Nash includes chapters on the importance of student writing and teacher clarity when it comes to classroom communication. Nash makes the case for a balance between the new technological realities of the twenty-first century and the kind of face-to-face student interactions that will help students transition from school to work, meet the requirements of an ever-changing workplace, and become thoughtful and involved citizens. Veteran and beginning teachers will benefit from these practical ideas for achieving classroom success, as well as gain a sense of satisfaction from a job well done - and kids well served." "All of my teachers in two different schools have worked with Ron – and what a difference it has made.  Our students move frequently, do the majority of the talking in the classroom, ask deep questions, clarify their understanding – and have fun!  My teachers are building on the active classroom principles – and keep asking when they can work with Ron again.  This stuff works!" "This is my 6th year teaching middle school. Over the summer of 2014, I read your book, "The Active Classroom." I have completely changed my style of teaching and the students have responded well to the change. I′m happy to say your book has inspired me to try a new teaching style that is allowing students to achieve greatness."
