Excerpt: The Abyss diver, originally EvilDiver, is a recurring enemy in the Dragon Quest Series. The Abyss diver is a large aquatic monster similar to the mythological Leviathan. It is purple in color, has a long neck, and webbed feet. It is quite powerful when the player first meets it. Its breath attacks can devastate low level parties. The EvilDiver can be found in the Underwater City in the past and the Dark Palace. The angel slime (originally HaloSlime) is a recurring monster in the spin-off series of Dragon Quest.
