Excerpt: Bao Long is a fictional vassal who once served Zhao Fan and was the central commander of Gui Yang. He was said to have killed two tigers by using only a few arrows. In the battle for Southern Jing in Dynasty Warriors 4, Bao Long and Chen Ying are sent out by Zhao Fan to stop Zhao Yun's advance on the city of Gui Yang. If Bao Long and Chen Ying are killed, Zhao Fan will lay down his arms and surrender to Liu Bei. Bao Long appeared in chapter 52 in Romance of the Three Kingdoms. When Zhao Yun marched on Guiyang with 3,000 troops, Zhao Fan called Bao Long and Chen Ying to counsel. Chen Ying volunteered to fight the general, declaring that his lord could surrender if he was defeated. After his defeat, Zhao Fan surrendered. Zhao Fan and Zhao Yun swore brotherhood to one another since they shared the same family name. When Zhao Fan tried to wed his sister-in-law to the general, Zhao Yun besmirched the stain it would caused his honor and left in indignation.
