Excerpt: Airbase is a canceled multiplayer map that was planned to be featured in Call of Duty: Black Ops. Although the map itself is completely unknown, it is unique for being the only cancelled map in any Call of Duty game that can be fully and accurately reconstructed. The playable map file itself is present in Call of Duty: Black Ops' mod tools; however, the tools to package the map have yet to be released. Additionally, the material file for the minimap is present; however, due to the lack of an image file, it is not viewable. Array is a large multiplayer map featured in Call of Duty: Black Ops. Array is a medium-large winterized map featuring mostly level terrain. It is centered around a large relay dish, and the surrounding buildings. There are a few elevated positions on the furthest extremes of the map, but most of the fighting is on level ground, usually taking place directly around, inside, or slightly north of the relay station. It was released on February 1, 2011 for Call of Duty Black Ops on the Xbox 360, March 3 on the PS3, and PC on March 25, 2011 for $14.99 but a release date was not announced for the Wii.
