Excerpt: Albert Rand was also a victim of Corroder, and the son of Dorothy. He is very protective of his mother, and looks after her as much as he can. Dorothy believes he is too over protective of his mother. He is a man who gives and expects nothing in return, by making children's toys for a living. When Alyssa Hamilton encounters him, he is a spirit, having been blinded by Corroder even as a ghost; because of his blindness, Albert carries a cane and a bell to alert his mother. He was murdered by Corroder on November 19th, 1963. Alex Corey ( Ishizue Hitoshi) is a detective of the Monterey County Police, and a protagonist of Clock Tower II: The Struggle Within. He is first seen in the second chapter of the game at Memorial Hospital where he explains to Alyssa Hale that he carries her there. Prior to this event, he had gotten a call from Kathryn Tate, and when he went inside the house, he found her and Stephanie Tate lying on the floor.
