Excerpt: KADA-FM (99.3 FM, "Cool 99.3") is a radio station licensed to serve Ada, Oklahoma, USA. The station, established in 1980, is currently owned by the Chickasaw Nation. KADA-FM broadcasts an adult contemporary music format. This station received its original construction permit from the Federal Communications Commission on July 20, 1979. The new station was assigned the KASX call sign by the FCC on October 22, 1979. KASX received its license to cover from the FCC on June 2, 1980. In July 1987, Ada Broadcasting, Inc., reached an agreement to sell KASX to DeBrine Communications, Inc. The deal was approved by the FCC on September 9, 1987, and the transaction was consummated on September 17, 1987.
