Excerpt: KUSU-FM (91.5 FM) is a NPR-member radio station broadcasting NPR programs, plus classical and folk music. Licensed to Utah State University (under its full name, Utah State University of Agriculture and Applied Science) in Logan, Utah, it broadcasts as Utah Public Radio on a series of 30 translators throughout the state, including KUSR 89.5 FM in Logan, KUSL 89.3 FM in Richfield and KUSK 88.5 FM in Vernal. While Utah Public Radio covers nearly all of Utah, it can't be heard in Salt Lake City itself (although Logan is part of the Salt Lake City radio market) to protect two low-powered FM stations adjacent to KUSU's dial location. It once operated a translator in Salt Lake City at 96.7 FM but it was deactivated sometime in 2005. In addition to the main station, KUSU is relayed by an additional 29 translators to widen its broadcast area. KOSY-FM is a commercial radio station broadcasting to the Salt Lake City, Utah area on 106.5 FM. The station's city of license is Spanish Fork, Utah.
