In all ages since the dispersion of the Jews, this has been acknowledged to mean the commencement of a kingdom--divine government, or state of things on earth, when there is to be one supreme head or king who is to have dominion, glory, and a kingdom--that all people, nations, and tongues, shall serve him--that his dominion is to be an everlasting dominion--and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed. It is said in the communication to the prophet, that this divine person came in the clouds of heaven to the Ancient of Days, and lastly he is called--the Son of Man, as in the New Testament. He is also called the Son of God, and the same divine person is said in Mic. v. 2, to be from everlasting. But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among tlie thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me, that is to be ruler in Israel...
