About the Book

What Really Frightens You, Too Not since Splatter University has there been a college where the school colors are blood red! We double dare you to find out! Eight documentary film students are divided into two teams and assigned to make a video about the paranormal. Armed with video cameras, the first team spends the night in a haunted tenement where the residents were literally frightened to death. To the students' horror, they discover each room is a portal to another dimension. One room leads to a graveyard with amorous corpses. The second to a sex club, where participants experience a taste of the "other." The third leads to a dungeon where witches are tortured and interrogated. The second team investigates the impact horoscopes have on personal behavior. They soon find personal dangers reflected in their own astrological signs. A Pisces suffers from an attack of carnivorous piranhas in her bathtub. A Taurus is transformed into a lascivious bull. Scorpions and Crabs attack participants with those signs. The students find that their investigations into the unknown have trapped themselves in their own deadly nightmares. Who will survive this sinister reality show?

Review :
Not since Splatter University has there been a college where the school colors are blood red! We double dare you to find out! With their clever filmic references and gritty, urban New York landscapes, the 24-Frames-Per-Second Thriller series of books are a treat for anyone who loves classic 42nd Street exploitation cinema and vintage pulp fiction paperbacks. The latest in the series, What Really Frightens You, Too, continues the tradition in fine style, but with more of an emphasis on horror than the hard boiled murder mysteries found in previous titles, such as 2014's The Anastasia Killer. Filled with wild Lovecraftian creatures and gruesome set-pieces, What Really Frightens You, Too takes you through a twilight zone of fast-paced, scary fun. The perfect company to curl up with on a dark and stormy night. - John Harrison (author, Hip Pocket Sleaze: The Lurid World of Vintage Adult Paperbacks, co-author of the forthcoming Cartwheels & Halos: The True Marneen Lynne Fields Story) ===== What REALLY frightens you? Being trapped in a medieval Iron Maiden and impaled by rows of razor sharp iron spikes? Maybe being slowly ripped apart by a swarm of flesh-hungry crabs? Or eaten alive by snake-tongued cannibal strippers in a night club from hell? Writer Richard W. Haines has these and many more nightmares waiting for you in the pages of WHAT REALLY FRIGHTENS YOU, TOO - his newest novel. Best known for cult classic films like CLASS OF NUKE 'EM HIGH and SPLATTER UNIVERSITY, Haines' book is an all - out assault where NOTHING is off limits. One scene was so extreme, I'll refrain from even describing it here. Just remember -YOU'VE BEEN WARNED!! Haines' movie geek fans will certainly relate to the novel's cast of indie filmmakers and film students. And the cult movie references come fast and furious! TOMBS OF THE BLIND DEAD and MARK OF THE DEVIL are just two of many horror classics that get a nod. So if you find yourself in the mood for an EXTREME horror novel that'll give your nerves and gag reflex a workout, WHAT REALLY FRIGHTENS YOU, TOO is the perfect ticket! But as the old warning goes, those suffering from heart conditions or nervous disorders should look elsewhere! Donald Farmer (Director: SHARK EXORCIST, CANNIBAL HOOKERS)
