About the Book

Max can't sleep: Gran's dog, Randolf, is snoring and there's obviously a monster in the wardrobe. To help Max, Dad tells him about the Moon Dreaming adventures he used to have as a child. But Max isn't convinced...until he finds himself at Little Pippin Farm with Randolf. Lady has gone missing, Alvin's fiddle strings are broken and Stephen the Rat is looking very guilty. So with the help of a tubby terrier, a pack of rats and a herd of cows, Max sets about trying to rescue Lady... what could possibly go wrong! An adventure suitable for 7-11 years this book is ideal for children moving up towards longer reads. There is no sexual content or bad language. Ideal for parents to read to children. Has 5 reviews from children on the back cover including: 'It made me laugh out loud. If you like dreaming, adventures and talking animals, you will love this book.' Ruby, age 9.

About the Author :
Author, Cathy Farr has always loved stories; listening to them, reading them and writing them. It was her first Irish Wolfhound, Finn, who provided much of the inspiration for the magnificent Fellhounds that play such a big part in Cathy's young adult novel series about The Felhounds of Thesk, Moon Chase and Moon Crossing. Known as Gentle Giants, Cathy's current wolfie, Mojo, is as tall as a kitchen unit and just over 16 stone (103kg); Cathy stands 5ft 7inches tall but her weight remains a closely guarded secret. A member of the Society of Authors, Cathy is also on the Literature Wales Writers on Tour list. She has written pieces for BBC Radio Wales and numerous press articles, more recently focusing on teaching practice and pedagogy. She adapted her first novel Moon Chase as a Bridge Reader after working with ESL and SEN children in local schools, and with Afasic Cymru, a charity set up specifically for children with speech, language and communication needs (SLCN). Bridge Readers are intended to bridge the gap between learning to read and reading to learn and Moon Chase is now being used in schools for just such a purpose. Cathy also teaches regularly in two primary schools to give the children a real author's eye view on the creative writing process. Cathy wrote her latest book, The Cat and the Fiddle, while watching her father slowly give in to cancer. During this awful time it was being able to escape into a new fantasy world of humour that helped her through the darkest of times.
