About the Book

It's the early 1960's and Natalie Marx is stunned when her mother inquires about vacationing at a Vermont hotel and is refused because their family is Jewish. So begins Natalie's fixation with the Inn and the family who owns it. And when Natalie finagles an invitation to join a friend on vacation there, she sets herself upon a path that will inextricably link her adult life to this peculiar family and their once restricted hotel.

About the Author :

Beth Fowler's Broadway performances include Beauty and the Beast, Sweeney Todd, Baby, Teddy and Alice, 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, Take Me Along, Peter Pan, and A Little Music. Beth can be seen on television in Law & Order, Loving, and Another World, and in both Sister Act films.

Review :
"A tale of delicious revenge." -- "USA Today" "Both entertaining and thought-provoking, this delightful new work is highly recommended for all fiction collections." -- "Library Journal" "Skillfully interweaving the bittersweet narrative with threads of both tragedy and comedy, Lipman displays a healthy amount of empathy and affection for her flawed and slightly eccentric cast of characters." -- "Booklist" "The Inn at Lake Devine is full of sweet and sharp surprises that would be churlish to reveal. Lipman offers up sparkling scenes of serious social mischief, explorations of identity, delicious food, and a wedding party or two."-- "Amazon.com, editorial review"
