About the Book

Judge Tim Quinn finds himself in the middle of a string of murders that cover up a murderous conspiracy to fix cases on the US Court of Appeals. Complicating Quinn's attempts to uncover the conspirators is his complex relationship with Chief Judge Harry Winston, the urbane southern gentleman who helped Tim's relationship with Vicky Hauser, the federal prosecutor whose aid he must enlist to infiltrate the scheme. Their sexual tryst comes back to threaten Tim's marriage and his life in the novel's gripping and deadly climax.

About the Author :
Eugene Sullivan was nominated as a Federal Judge by President Reagan and spent the next 16 years as a judge in Federal court. He currently heads a judicial consulting firm outside of Washington, D.C.; its members including former Federal judges Louis Freeh, William Sessions and Ken Starr. Judge Sullivan has served as a White House lawyer for President Nixon during the Watergate investigation, General Counsel for the US Air Force, and General Counsel for the NRO, the super-secret spy agency featured in the movie, "Enemy of the State." He is a graduate of West Point and a Vietnam Veteran. Judge Sullivan is currently at work on several other novels featuring Tim Quinn.

Review :
"Gene Sullivan brings stunning real-world experience and insight. As a jurist he knows whereof he speaks and his characters reflect that on every page. This is a great story well told." "Judge Gene Sullivan knows his stuff and it shows in this intricate butfast-paced Washington thriller." "Judge Sullivan delivers a fast-paced, clever thriller set in Legal Washington. His insight and believable characters pull back the curtain of secrecy on the inner workings of courts and should shake the foundation of the justice system." "The bald political ruthlessness of Baldacci meets the grand illegal conspiracy of Grisham in The Majority Rules, Eugene Sullivan's thriller of corruption and murder in the appellate system." "This one's a page-turner! Sullivan's command of his subjects is masterful and his storytelling is excellent..." "Judge Sullivan has delivered a great thriller -- the masterful combination of great sleuthing and real-world insights into good guys and bad guys figuring it out and fighting it out. A delightfully entertaining read by an author who knows his subject matter as only a real judge can."
