About the Book

'This text is a valuable resource, both for initial teacher education and for those involved in continuing professional development supporting pupils with social and emotional difficulties' - Scottish Educational Review 'Like other books by Bill Rogers, this latest publication is approaching the status of being an indispensable manual of best practice in managing pupil behaviour and effective teaching. Every teacher should have a copy as a constant companion - even - and maybe especially - those teachers with long experience. The most reflective of these will recognize why, when they have good days, they are good teachers' - Mike O'Connor, The Psychology of Education Review 'Having read Classroom Behaviour I am seeing teachers with such a sharp focus that it is like putting on my first set of glasses. It empowers and energizes teachers, and it is a must for every department and school' - Tim Brighouse, Times Educational Supplement 'Bill Rogers is the guru on classroom management. If you are worried about handling a classroom full of kids, he is your first port of call. This book is scholarly yet accessible, snf should prove invaluable' - Ruler 'Any book by Bill Rogers is eagerly grasped by classroom teachers and other professionals concerned with the behaviour and pastoral care of pupils. ..Many schools have based their discipline policies on Bill Rogers' work and have made rapid improvements. But staff change and the impetus can be lost without regular INSET to underpin the agreed framework of shared values. Base discussion on this book if you are not meeting with the man himself' - Chris Stansfield, Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties '[Classroom Behaviour] is an extremely readable account of everyday and common occurrences (case studies) in modern primary and secondary schools...As a newly qualified teacher, I found this text extremely helpful in developing some of my key teaching skills, especially reflecting on the behaviour and practice of both teachers and students in the more "challenging" classes. The text also contains an excellent supporting Bibliography, through which readers can extend their knowledge' - Bill Harris, Scottish Support for Learning 'The book is recommended for teachers at all levels, teacher assistants and newly qualified teachers. As we have come to expect from Bill Rogers, here is a book with useful and practical advice by a practitioner who knows the role of the teachers and understands the challenges they face' - David Allaway, Behaviour UK Short listed for The National Association for Special Education Needs Award 2001 SEE LINK AT END OF THIS PAGE FOR BILL ROGERS SPECIAL OFFER- BUY ALL THREE BOOKS FOR 45.00!
