Review :
Introducing Sociolinguistics has been co-authored by a team of linguists spanning at least half the world. This post-colonial perspective is both the highlight and the hallmark of this book. This is a most welcome addition to the (mostly Anglocentric) field of introductory textbooks in this discipline. 'It is an excellent text detailing 40+ years of Sociolinguistic research. It is well written, succinct, with all the classic as well as new studies in Sociolinguistics. Great topics covered!'Cathy Finlay, Sociolinguistics, Queens University Belfast Introducing Sociolinguistics has been co-authored by a team of linguists spanning at least half the world.
