He has written several books and many juried articles. Tony has also created several teacher-friendly instruments to aid in the assessment of thinking, reader styles, and social-emotional development. In 1993 he was granted the International Reading Association's Wm. S. Gray Citation of Merit, its highest award for lifetime creative research and problem-solving in the field. Julie Jackson Albee is Assistant Professor in the department of Curriculum and Instruction at Northwest Missouri State University. Her areas of research include Reading, Children's Literature, Teacher Education, and Critical Thinking. Julie is especially concerned with and visible in the fields of ethical-moral education.
