Yip Man
Yip Man is Associate Professor of Law in the School of Law at the Singapore Management University. Her principal research interests are in equity and trusts, private international law, contract law and restitution. She has published in leadng international and local peer-reviewed journals, including International and Comparative Law Quarterly, Cambridge Law Journal, Law Quarterly Review, Legal Studies, Lloyd's Maritime Commercial Law Quarterly, Journal of Equity, Restitution Law Review, Conveyancer and Property Lawyer, Journal of Private International Law, Trusts and Trustees, Journal of Business Law, Singapore Academy of Law Journal and Singapore Journal of Legal Studies. In recognition of her research, she has been awarded the DS Lee Foundation Fellowship in 2016 and the Lee Kong Chian Fellowship in 2018. Her works have been cited by the Singapore Court of Appeal, the Singapore High Court, the High Court of England and Wales as well as leading treaties on private law. She has acted as an expert on Singapore commercial law and private international law in a recent arbitration matter. She is presently the Deputy Director of Centre for Cross-Border Commercial Law in Asia (SMU) and the Private Law Cluster Coordinator at the SMU School of Law. She is an editor of Trust Law International and the Asia-Pacific Digest Editor of Restitution Law Review.
