Xiaowei Zhang

Prof Zhang’s research interests mainly focuses on organic-inorganic hybrid materials and their applications in energy storage, catalysis, and optoelectronics. Her current research emphasizes the design of new catalysts and control of morphology, mcrostructure, and reaction mechanism for CO2 conversion, hydrogen production, degradation, etc. Some of her recent progress includes novel approaches to designing multifunctional phase change materials for thermal energy storage and photothermal energy conversion with high energy-utilizing efficiency.

Dr. Zhang has been responsible for many research projects sponsored by the National Natural Science Foundation, Beijing Natural Science Foundation, etc. She has published more than 50 peer-reviewed papers, including Advanced Materials, Chemical Engineering Journal, Aggregate, Journal of Materials Chemistry A, etc. Furthermore, she has had 18 national invention patents authorized.
