Wisdom MartinWisdom Martin is a veteran television news journalist and anchorwith more than 30 years of experience covering news and sports. He started at WJSU radio then moved to television covering college football and other sports in Jackson, Mississippi (WAPT before heading west covering news and sports in Fresno, California (KSEE). He later moved east to North Carolina where he covered news (WRAL) and both the North Carolina Tar Heels football and basketball. He also covered national news at CNN in Atlanta, before moving to Nashville, Tennessee (WKRN), as an anchor and breaking news reporter. In 2003, Wisdom moved to Washington, D.C. where he covered local and national news, including 5 presidential inaugurations. He also covered Michael Jordan's last season with the Washington Wizards, George Mason University basketball run to The Final 4, Maryland Lady Terps championship run as well as Washington Nationals return to Washington and World Series win in 2019. During his career span, he has covered a variety of stories which included the 1994 arrest and trial of Byron De La Beckwith, the convicted murderer of NAACP Field Secretary Medgar Evers, the serial bank robbers in Washington D.C., Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans, the death of Washington football star Sean Taylor, and more.
