William WakefieldDr. Wakefield has been a Professor at the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) since 1974. Previous to that he held positions in the sociology departments of Dana College and South Dakota State University-Brookings. While at UNO, he has been activel involved in teaching, research, and community service. He has taught at both the undergraduate and graduate level and currently serves as Director of Graduate Studies in the School of Criminology and Criminal Justice at UNO.Author of numerous research articles in professional journals, Dr.Wakefield co-authored and published Criminal Justice in England and the United States, editions 1 & 2. Since 1976, he has been involved in teaching and research in England and has directed an annual study tour to London to examine the English Criminal Justice system.
