William Thomas IrvinWilliam Thomas Irvin is, first and foremost, a man redeemed by the grace of God. After a tumultuous path that led him from his birthplace in Memphis, Tennessee, through service in the U.S. Air Force to life as a defense contractor in the deserts of Sudi Arabia, the Lord graciously confronted him with his sin in 2010. Finding the peace with God he had long sought (Romans 5:1), his life was forever changed. This newfound peace ignited a desire to serve, a path that led him from the tutelage of a missionary family to the front lines of a chapel in Afghanistan, where he had the privilege of teaching the Scriptures to soldiers. That experience opened the door to an ongoing ministry in Uganda, focused on Bible teaching and Bible translation.Today, he is a husband, a father, and the pastor of George County Baptist Church in Lucedale, Mississippi. He considers himself a nobody who has been graciously saved by a great Saviour, and his singular desire in writing this book is to honor and glorify the Lord Jesus Christ-the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world.
