Bill Sutton is a practicing architect in the Washington, D.C. region. Originally from Traverse City, Michigan, he has been fascinated by the Civil War from his earliest memories, especially the Battle of Gettysburg. He visits the Gettysburg Nationl Battlefield Park several times each year and explores it on his bicycle.

He previously wrote memoirs about his early years in northern Michigan where his family owned and operated the local ski hill, Holiday Hills, and his experiences working with the politically motivated citizens of Washington, D.C.
