William J SamarinWilliam J. Samarin (February 7, 1926 - January 16, 2020) was professor emeritus of the Department of Anthropology at the University of Toronto, Canada. He lived in Oubangui-Chari, now the République Centrafricaine, from 1952 to 1960 and returned from1962 to 1994 seven times for long periods of research on Sango.
