William G. Allen
William G. Allen (active 1849-1853) was a colored American and former professor of Greek Language and Literature. Despite facing prejudice and discrimination, he pursued education and a career, only to be subjected to a violent mob attack due to hs interracial marriage. Allen's narrative sheds light on the deep-rooted prejudice against color in America and the challenges faced by people of color. His book aims to raise awareness and support for a better future for himself and his family.
