Dr. Knowles received a B.A. degree from Lyons College, an M.S. degree in School Psychology from the University of Central Arkansas, an Educational Specialist degree i School Psychology from Emporia State University, and a Doctoral degree in Educational Psychology from Kansas State University.He is also a retired US Army veteran who served in Vietnam as an Army paratrooper with the famous 173rd Airborne Brigade. Later, as a reservist, he was activated for the Iraq War and served a tour of duty as a Master Sergeant in Northern Iraq in 2004.
