Will RenwickA born and bred Welshman and Welsh speaker, these days Will Renwick spends most of his time moving between Pembrokeshire, South Wales and Wiltshire. He is an outdoor journalist with over ten years of experience working on magazines including Outdors Magic (which he has edited for six years), The Great Outdoors, and Outdoor Fitness and Adventure. Alongside this, he served as president of Ramblers Cymru for 5 years. In 2021, he set the fastest known time for the Welsh 2000s, completing the route solo and self-supported in 23 days. The undertaking was covered on the BBC’s homepage and on the 6 o’clock news. It was also reported on in the Guardian, the Evening Standard and the Independent. More recently, his film that documents the run was selected for the 2023 edition of the Kendal Mountain Film Festival and for the festival’s nationwide tour. That run was a break from tradition for him as most of his Welsh adventures up until that point had been at walking pace. In 2013, he became one of the first people to walk the entire perimeter of Wales following the opening of the Wales Coast Path. A few years later, he walked the Cambrian Way, for which he is now a trustee, and he has also completed the Snowdonia Slate Trail, Beacons Way, Epynt Way, Glyndwr’s Way and Offa’s Dyke Path (twice).
