Wang ZhangWang Zhang (born October 14, 1979 in Chengdu, Sichuan, China) is an Chinese chef, restaurateur, and cookbook writer. He started work as a welder, and did not work in a restaurant until he was 17, when her mother (a restaurateur) employed him as help hen her cook got sick. Four years after his parents divorced and the family moved in Palm Beach, Florida, USA. Zhang worked at the Palm Beach Yacht Club starting as a dishwasher and quickly moving up to cook: it was here he discovered his great passion for cooking. The proprietor, Joe Pinot, was impressed by Wang's natural ability and agreed to pay his tuition at the University: Zhang received a degree in culinary arts and, after that, he started working as a sous-chef, quickly learning the culinary arts. He is now the owner and executive chef of several restaurants, in Las Vegas, New York, Mohegan Sun and Atlantic City.
