W A SchwartzWA Schwartz is a psychiatrist and novelist, raised in the US and the UK. She studied literature at UC Davis and novel writing at Stanford and was a ballet dancer until entering med school. Earning an M.D., she specializes in helping women with severepsychiatric illness, depression, and a history of childhood and adult betrayal trauma. When not helping patients or writing, she travels extensively and enjoys yoga, long daily walks, and the roses and tomatoes in her garden. She loves to sew and quilt but hates to cook, something, thankfully, her husband does well. She has three grown children and lives in Northern California with her English lab, Scarlett.
