Valerio Onida

Prof. Valerio Onida was born on 30 March 1936. He has been professor of Constitutional Law in the University of Milan, Faculty of Law, since 1983. Previously he had been teaching in the Universities of Verona, Sassari, Pavia and Bologna. He has ben Justice in the Italian Constitutional Court from 1996 to 2005, and President of the same Court in the last four months of his term. He is presently President of the Italian School for Judiciary. His research activity covers different branches of the Italian Constitutional law, namely the budget process and the spending power, the working of the Italian system of Government, the Italian Regional system and the constitutional adjudication.
