Uri ShafrirUri Shafrir is associate professor in Department of Human Development and Applied Psychology at Ontario Institute for Studies in Education and Director of Adult Study Skills Clinic at Faculty of Information of University of Toronto. His recent researh focuses on concept parsing algorithms in various knowledge domains and on instructional methodologies for deep comprehension of conceptual content that enhance learning outcomes. Shafrir received doctorate in mathematical sciences from the University of California at Los Angeles and doctorate in developmental psychology from York University, Toronto. Shafrir was founder and director of the Institute of Planetary and Space Science at Tel-Aviv University; before moving to the University of Toronto he was Adjunct Professor at the University of Wisconsin and at Columbia University.
