Toshiro HataDr. Toshiro Hata is a full professor in the Department of Environmental and Civil Engineering at Hiroshima University, Japan. He attained his PhD in Civil Engineering from Gifu University, Japan in 2005. He commenced his academic career in 2006 takin up an associate professor position at Nagano National College of Technology until 2011. He then moved to Toyama Prefectural University in 2012 and became a full professor in 2016. He has been a visiting scholar at the University of Cambridge, UK; Arizona State University, USA and at Grenoble University in France.
