Tom ValentineTom Valentine's interest in vintage postcards began in the early 1970s when he visited a stamp fair in the Cafe Royal, Regent Street, while on holiday in London. There he found his first postcard of Montrose, of Rossie Castle, which caught his eye because the postmark was on the picture side of the card. He found a few more after that, including some of Ferryden, after which he was hooked on this new hobby and never looked back. Tom's full collecting areas are now the Scottish county of Angus, Libya and Malta, lighthouses and Scottish village churches. Postal history (collecting postmarks on letter and cards) is also another theme he collects, specialising in the county of Angus and various other places and countries.
