Comer, an associate professor of English at Defiance College, in Ohio, US, has recently co-edited two collections on the comics writer Alan Moore and on “terror and the cinematic sublime” (2012, and 2013, respectively). Comer has publishe essays on Joel and Ethan Coen, Samuel R. Delany, and Flann O'Brien in such journals as SubStance, the Journal of Narrative Theory, and the Journal of Modern Literature. He also has a chapter in Ruminations, Peregrinations, and Regenerations: A Critical Approach to Doctor Who.
