Tim RiterStarting with no interest at all in bikes, enduring a neighbor's insistence to try his kid's Honda Trail 90, then being intrigued with the classic film Easy Rider, Tim Riter has grown to embrace motorcycles. He's totaled 270,000 miles riding, encompasing all 50 states, plus Washington, DC, Canada, and Mexico. The unity of rider, road, and bike has given him a unique perspective on God's creation, revealing glimpses of God in some unusual situations. Tim spent over 20 years as a pastor. His years in ministry, combined with equal time in education, from junior high to high school to university, and teaching science, communication, and composition, all contribute to his 30 years as an author. His writing spans Christian-living nonfiction, two motorcycle devotional books, and even a book of poetry, for a total of twelve books (with more on tap). A few of his poems are sprinkled in this book. In addition to pastoring, writing, and teaching, Tim has enjoyed a variety of other careers. He was a caretaker for an unused guest ranch in the mountains above Taos and worked in hotel management, in quality control at a company making parts for the space shuttle, as a real estate broker, and more. He and his wife, Sheila, live in the Old West town of Temecula in SoCal, where they love trips to the beaches and mountains and traveling all over the West. Read More Read Less
