Thomas Wayne EdisonDr Thomas Wayne Edison is an Associate Professor of Spanish in the Department of Classical and Modern Languages at the University of Louisville, Louisville, KY. His area of scholarship includes Afro-Caribbean Culture and Identity. This two-time Fulbrght Scholar published his first book titled Ashe-Caribbean Literary Aesthetic in the Cuban, Colombian, Costa Rican, and Panamanian Novel of Resistance in 2020 with Lexington Books. The book focuses on the intersection between African spirituality and selected Hispanophone Caribbean novel. His most recent book that he edited is titled Candombe: arte universal and was published in Baker Books (2024).
