Thomas Warton
Thomas Warton (1728-1790) was an English literary historian and poet. He served as the Poet Laureate of England from 1785 until his death. Warton was known for his contributions to the study of English poetry and his interest in medieval literatur. His works reflected a deep appreciation for the poetic traditions of both Scotland and England.
