Thomas W. ParadisNancy Blumenstalk Mingus is president of Mingus Associates, Inc., a Buffalo-based company founded in 1989, specializing in writing, training and consulting on project management and preservation topics. She has been involved in historic preseration for nearly twenty years, is on the board of the New York State Barn Coalition and the Preservation Coalition of Erie County, and served on the Town of Amherst Historic Preservation Commission for eight years. She has presented sessions at Restoration and Renovation, as well as at the Society of Architectural Historians, the Landmark Society of the Niagara Frontier and the Cleveland Restoration Society conferences. Mingus has taught in a variety of online education programs and has written four books and more than forty articles.Thomas W. Paradis is Associate Professor of Geography at Northern Arizona University at Flagstaff, where he has been a faculty member in the Department of Geography, Planning and Recreation since 1997 and has served as the university's Director of Academic Assessment since 2005. He has taught numerous courses in world and U.S. geography, urban design and historic preservation, small-town development, and geographic field methods. His research interests and associated publications include topics on cultural and historical geography, downtown and rural development, tourism and theming, historic preservation, and techniques to assess student learning.Elizabeth B. Greene is an interior designer at the College of Staten Island. She received a B.A. in art history from McGill University in Montreal, where her specialization was Modern Art and Architecture. She attended the Columbia University Historic Preservation Program at the Columbia Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation and has served on the board of the Staten Island Preservation League.
