Thomas McDanielDr. Thomas F. McDaniel is the author of the Bible studies on the Ten Commandments. He earned a Ph.D. in Semitic Languages from Johns Hopkins Universiy and was for thirty-two years professor of Hebrew and Old Testament Studies at The Eastern Baptist Teological Seminary in Wynnewood, Pennsylvania.Prior to that he was an associate professor at Kanto Gakuin University, Yokohama, and a visiting lecturer in Semitic languages at the Union Theological Seminary, Tokyo, and the Graduate Theological Division of the Aoyama University, Tokyo. As an ordained Baptist minister has served as pastor and as interim pastor of churches in Maryland and Pennsylvania. He is the author of Deborah Never Sang: A Philological Sudy of Judges 5 (Jerusalem: Makor, 1983). Other publications have appeared in Biblica and Vetus Testamentum.
