About the Author

Tesfa Bahta, PharmD, is a healthcare professional, entrepreneur, and immigrant whose extraordinary life journey spans continents, cultures, and callings. Born into a traditional Orthodox Chrstian family in rural Eritrea, Tesfa was chosen at a young age to pursue the priesthood. However, his path took a dramatic turn-through hardship, war, and displacement-leading him to a life of service in healthcare and senior care.

After arriving in the United States, Tesfa earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree and went on to manage medications in various clinical settings. He later founded Windermere Assisted Living, where his passion for compassionate care and dignity in aging found a true home.

Today, Tesfa blends his deep spiritual roots with his medical expertise to inspire others through writing, mentorship, and community leadership. From Cloister to Entrepreneur is his first memoir, capturing the powerful story of a life shaped by faith, resilience, and the relentless pursuit of purpose.

He lives in the United States with his beloved wife, Saba Kidane, and their children.
