She holds a BA in Mass Communication from St. Ambrose University in Iowa, and an MA in Community Arts Management from University of Illinois.The people she interiewed as a journalist and met in her work in the arts and other nonprofit organizations coloured her future fiction writing canvas and sharpened her love for telling a good story.
