Ted LeightonTed Leighton (O.C.) lives and writes in Digby and Annapolis Counties in Western Nova Scotia, where he spent his formative childhood and to which he returned in 2015. In addition to fiction, he has published non-fiction as a teacher and scientist at te Western College of Veterinary Medicine, where he remains professor emeritus. He is a professeur associé (adjunct professor) at Université Sainte-Anne, the conservation guardian of Bear Island in the Annapolis Basin, and a promoter of traditional Celtic music, which he plays on the uilleann pipes.
