Taylor MignonTaylor Mignon is a poet, editor, translator and university lecturer living in Saitama. He teaches a Kenneth Rexroth seminar at Rikkyo University and Creative Writing at Keio and Musashi Universities. In Kyoto Journal 86, he is credited as someone who'brings people together, creates events that showcase creativity and give rise to more creativity....' He co-edited Poesie Yaponesia: A Bilingual Anthology (Printed Matter Press, 2000), coedited and co-translated Distant Frogs: Selected Senryu by Gengorō (The Hokuseido Press, 2007), and led the translation and editing of Bearded Cones and Pleasure Blades: The Collected Poems of Torii Shōzō (highmoonoon, 2013). He is co-founding editor of Tokyo Poetry Journal, responsible for a special book-length issue on Japan and the Beats, and in 2017 for an issue on Butoh dance and Japanese modernism.
