Tammie J WaltersTammie J. Walters studied art at the University of North Texas, where she met author Laura Gray Bridges and became her college roommate. Though she later pursued a career in environmental science-working in archaeology, water research, and stormwatermanagement-her love for art never faded. She retired from DFW Airport's Environmental Affairs Department in 2021 and finally fulfilled a longtime dream: illustrating The Wooblers.Tammie lives in Sanger, Texas, with her husband of 35 years and their three cats. She is a member of the Texas Master Naturalist Elm Fork Chapter, where she serves as newsletter editor and Water Quality Project Manager.
