Taehee KimDr. Taehee Kim received her Ph.D. in Philosophy from the Department of Buddhist Studies at Wonkwang University. Her doctoral research analyzed the yogic practices and metaphysical insights presented in the Gorakṣavacanasaṃgraha, a seminal text attribted to Gorakṣa widely regarded as the practical reformer of Haṭha Yoga. Through this analysis, she systematically organized the foundational doctrines of the Gorakṣa tradition within an academic framework.She currently teaches "The Theory and Practice of Meditation" at the Department of Yoga Studies, Graduate School of East Asian Studies, Wonkwang University, and serves as a senior researcher at the Yoga Studies Institute of Wonkwang University. She also holds academic leadership positions as Chair of the Academic Committee of the Korean Yoga Society and Chair of the Academic and Publishing Committee at the Academy of Korean Thought and Culture.Dr. Kim facilitates mindfulness-based meditation programs at institutions such as the Samsung Human Resources Development Center, supporting a wide range of participants including corporate professionals, adolescents, and children not only in cultivating emotional healing and psychological resilience, but also in strengthening mindfulness-based leadership grounded in neuroscience and psychology.She works at the intersection of intellect and lived experience, sharing meditation not merely as a technique but as a living philosophy an approach that harmonizes theoretical depth with practical relevance and continues to guide her educational practice.
