T W MansonT. W. Manson was born in 1893 and died in 1958. Educated at Tynemouth High School and at the Universities of Glasgow and Cambridge, he was a minister, and in 1953 Moderator of the General Assembly, of the Presbyterian Church of England. He was Yates rofessor of New Testament Greek and Exegesis at Mansfield College, Oxford, from 1932 to 1936, when he was appointed Rylands Professor of Biblical Criticism and Exegesis in the University of Manchester. He was a Doctor of Divinity of the Universities of Cambridge, Dublin, Durham, and Glasgow. Among his many publications to be mentioned is The Sayings of Jesus. He was one of the founder-Editors of the Studies in Biblical Theology and Ethics and The Gospel (SCM Press) and The Teaching of Jesus and The Servant Messiah. Read More Read Less
