When the stories blossomed into family favorites she began sharing them with friends and neighbors. With her children growing Mrs. Stevens ventured from cute bedtime stories to ones that were better suited for older children. Many years later and after some prompting from a friend she entered one of her favorite short stories in a writing contest.
