T Abbott CollinsT. Abbott Collins has published poems since 2011 in journals including BlazeVOX and eratio. He released an experimental rap album under the moniker looCcaM in 2023 and has published three full-length collections of poems under his own imprint, Fifth ntelechy Publishing. His poetic practice draws inspiration from the Anglo-American and European avant-garde traditions of the 20th century and is grounded in fragmentation, ellipsis, catachresis, surreal imagery, and nonanalogic metaphor. By these means, his work seeks to explore the frontiers of human awareness and meaning through conceptual miniaturization and plasticity. Tim has published scholarly articles on metaphor and sound in poetry, including an article on the Wu-Tang Clan and Jean Baudrillard in The Journal of Popular Culture. His scholarship has also covered Chaucer, Poe, Jacques Lacan, and Fredric Jameson. He has taught writing, rhetoric, and literature as an adjunct instructor and has worked as a researcher and poet for many years.
