Swami Swaroopananda

Swami Swaroopananda, the Global Head of Chinmaya Mission, has been a guiding light of wisdom and spiritual leadership since he was ordained as a monk in 1985 by his guru, Vedantic Master Swami Chinmayananda. He has made it his life’s endeavour to make these profound teachings relevant to our everyday lives. After completing thirty years of teaching and service in 2017, Swamiji became the head of the Chinmaya Mission’s 350 centres worldwide.

He is a teacher for the times, being an enthusiastic user of technology and digital media for sharing the timeless wisdom of Vedanta as it applies to life here and now. He is also a keen photographer of nature in all her glory. Swamiji is totally dedicated to the motto of the Chinmaya Mission: maximum happiness for the maximum number of people for the maximum time. He is thus ideally placed to impart wisdom on the all important topic of happiness.
